Batesville City Council to talk 2023 budget, parks and rec fees, and more

The Batesville City Council has a busy agenda tonight when the group gathers for its meeting.

In addition to addressing an ordinance providing for adopting the 2023 city budget, the agenda includes the consideration of resolutions regarding the Lifeplus expansion and facilities renovation; the waiving of competitive bidding for the remodel of the new Batesville Police Department; the setting of fees for internments and dis-internments for Oaklawn Cemetery, Grays Addition, and the mausoleum; and the levying of fees for trash and garbage pickup service.

The council will also consider an ordinance to establish and amend fees for the maintenance and operation of city-owned parks and recreation facilities.

An executive session is also planned for this evening’s meeting. It will be held at the Batesville Municipal Building, 500 East Main, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
