Beth McSpadden, food service program purchasing assistant, has been named the recipient of the December “Citizens Bank Above & Beyond Award.”
Putting Students First for 18 years, Beth’s dedication is an essential piece to the puzzle of getting meals served to the students of BSD every day. Colleagues said of Beth:
- “Beth is always there to answer a call, run a product or kitchen, and help however she can. “
- “Beth, with her 18 years of dedication and service to Batesville Public Schools Food Service is an important part of our success. With a tireless dedication to the students and dining staff, Beth gets it done every day! She is out and checking on kitchens by 5:30 am every day, making sure every kitchen has the items they need. Beth helps train and direct all staff, and she helps manage procurement and compliance on a daily basis.”

- “Beth is a team player – She goes above and beyond to help make the food service a successful program.”
Since 2012, Citizens Bank and the Batesville School District have recognized staff members who go “above and beyond” to realize the district’s mission to empower today’s students for tomorrow’s challenges. Staff in all schools and departments throughout the district nominate award recipients, who receive a Certificate of Excellence, a $25 gift card, and a 16-ounce insulated cup from Citizens Bank. The award is presented at the Batesville School Board meeting each month.
