First Community Bank employees raise funds for ‘Paint the Town Pink’

First Community Bank employees continued to support White River Health System Foundation’s “Paint the Town Pink” fundraising efforts for Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout October.

“First Community Bank is honored to do our part in raising funds and awareness for this very worthy cause. To our many friends, family members, customers, co-workers, and community members who have been touched by breast cancer in one way or another, we support you and honor you,” said Boris Dover, president and chief operating officer at First Community Bank. “This year our employees raised $8,290, and as always, First Community has matched that amount for a grand total of $16,580 to present to the hospital foundation.”

The First Community Bank “Paint the Town Pink” committee consists of the following employees: Justin Taylor, Carrie Price, Pat Rutherford, Danita High, Misty White, Andrew Lane, Angela Connell, Katey Vinson, Paige Presser, Nyra Jenkins, Kimberly Williams, Jake McKibben, Nathan Price, Audrey Pool, Tabatha Reilly, Shelly Young, Caitlyn Guzman, Megan Tuggle, Sonya Rucker, Liz Barnett, Kaisha Gott, Tonya Cox, Garrett Tuggle, Mila Pinson, Mary Henderson, and Audrey McAnally.

In addition to employee donations, the First Community Bank “Paint the Town Pink” committee held several events to raise funds for the cause throughout October, including the following:

· Blue jean Fridays

· Soup and chili sales

· Pink ribbon bracelet sales

· Hot dog sack lunch sales

· Kiss the alpaca contest

· Pink pumpkin decorating contest
