Berylene “Birdie” Hill, surrounded by her daughters and son-in-law, went home to be with the lord on December 22nd, 2022, at the age of 76. Birdie was known for many things, from being a phenomenal matriarch and friend to being a firecracker and the life of the party, always lighting up the room. Regardless of the interaction, it was impossible to leave her presence without a smile. Birdie’s friends and family will always remember her kind and generous heart. Her passions included her family, cooking, fishing, music, watching basketball, playing cards, attending church and admiring the world around her from her porch. Her memory will live on through the countless lives she has impacted.
Birdie is preceded in death by Mary Brickey Settle (mother), William Brickey (father), Lyle Settle (brother), and Bob Hill (husband). She is survived by her sister, Dolores Walters Moore, her three children, Melissa Rosson, Michelle Zumwalt (Billy), and Michael Blue, along with the father of her children, lifelong friend (ex-husband) Louis Blue. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Madisen (Jamey) Morrison, Jacob Green, Jordan (Kristy) Blue, Bradley Rosson, and Stephanie Carroll and nine great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at Cushman Pleasant Valley Cemetery in the spring.
