Two killed in Cleburne County highway collision

CORRECTION: The original Arkansas State Police Fatality Report listed the time of the accident as 9:37 p.m. That was incorrect. The report has been changed to reflect the correct time of the accident as 9:37 a.m.

 

Two Cleburne County residents died in a head-on collision Tuesday morning.

According to the state police fatality report, a 1997 Jeep driven by Matthew A. Risinger, 43, of Heber Springs, was traveling westbound on Highway 16 when it crossed the centerline and struck the front of an eastbound 2022 Nissan, driven by Brianna R. Stenger, 23, of Drasco. Both drivers were killed in the collision.

The accident occurred in a rural section of Cleburne County around 9:37 a.m. The report said the weather was clear, and the road was dry.
