The UALR Trojans will be opening their Ohio Valley Conference basketball season at a different home venue tomorrow in Little Rock.

According to a release from the Trojans, freezing temperatures in the Little Rock area the past few days caused a rupture to a water coil in the Jack Stephens Center, resulting in the Trojans’ home court being covered by water.

Officials have moved Thursday’s men’s and women’s OVC doubleheader against UT Martin to Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock. Game times will remain at 5 p.m. for the women and 7:30 p.m. for the men.

Crews will continue to dry the court at the Jack Stephens Center and assess its status for future games.

On Twitter, UALR Head Men’s Basketball Coach Darrell Walker posted a picture of the damage with the caption, “What are you going to do?”
