Donna (Tarkington) Turnage, 76 of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born March 2, 1946, in Vacaville, California the daughter of Irven Henry and Clara Bell (Chatman) Tarkington. Her parents both preceded her in death and two brothers: Calvin Tarkington and Max Tarkington. Donna was an avid hunter and fisherman, every year Donna and Pat planted a great garden and canned and cooked everything they grew. Donna was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church in Harrisburg, Arkansas, and now an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church of Harrisburg, Arkansas. She graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1965 and then went to Beautician School, after finishing there she spent her adult life serving others. Donna was a member of the Harrisburg Trap Club and also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Pat Turnage of the home in Harrisburg, two daughters: Misty (Todd) Dobson of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Tammy Angel of Batesville, Arkansas, two brothers: David (Emma) Tarkington of Jonesboro, Arkansas and C. H. (Nila) Tarkington of Monette, Arkansas, one sister, Jeanie Carroll of Harrisburg, Arkansas, 5 grandchildren: Georgia Dobson, Presley Dobson, Stephanie Welch, Jeson Angel, and Justin Angel, 4 great-grandchildren: Reed Welch, Ray Welch, Jude Angel and Cate Angel. Visitation will be Thursday, December 29 at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. Funeral Service will be on December 30 Friday at 10:00 A. M. in the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Welcome Home Cemetery in Des Arc, Arkansas at 1:00 P. M. Bro Kenny Guy McMahan and Bro Larry White will conduct the service.
