The Searcy Police Department has released more information on three shooting incidents that occurred Tuesday night. One of those shootings claimed the lives of two men.
According to a news release, the first shooting occurred around 8 p.m. Searcy police officers were dispatched on a “shots fired” call to the Dogwood Manor apartments, where officers discovered two apartments had been struck as well as two parked vehicles.
Around 30 minutes later, officers responded to a second shooting at the Ridge Apartments. Three apartments were struck in that incident, as well as one parked vehicle. In both shooting incidents, a small white car was witnessed leaving the scene. The release said officials believe the apartment shootings are related.
As officers were working the apartment shootings, Searcy police received a call regarding an unrelated shooting at the East Race Street McDonald’s location.
According to the release, a dispute between two males at the location led to both individuals opening fire and injuring each other.
The two men, ages 31 and 24, were taken to the Unity Health Emergency Room, where they later died. Searcy police have not released the names of the deceased individuals.
