Three recent filings in Stone County Circuit Court involved individuals charged with terroristic threatening, breaking or entering, theft of property, and forgery.
Brandon Davis, 44, is charged with three counts of terroristic threatening. The counts stem from incidents that occurred Jan. 4, 2023, on the Birch Tree Community bus as it was traveling from Conway to Mountain View. Davis is accused of threatening to kill the bus driver and some passengers while he was causing disruptions on the bus. Davis was placed on a $5,000 bond and was issued a court order to have no contact with Birch Tree Communities staff and residents.
In another case, Jamie Michele Shipman, 43, was charged with one count of second-degree forgery. Shipman is accused of writing a check for delinquent rent on a residence in which the check owner had no record of an account with the bank, and the routing number did not exist in the bank’s system. Shipman was placed in the Stone County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
The third case filed in Stone County Circuit Court involved a 56-year-old Mountain View woman being charged with entering the residence of another and taking property. That involved felony two counts of breaking or entering and one misdemeanor count of theft of property.
Rhonda N. Mowdy is also charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia to use the drug. In addition, the investigating officer says she locked herself in the victim’s van and refused to leave. While in the van, authorities say she ransacked the vehicle and would blow the van’s horn for periods of time. Those actions resulted in criminal Trespass and criminal mischief in the second degree charges. Mowdy was taken into custody by Stone County deputies and placed on a $15,000 bond.
